We are looking for a responsible and highly motivated individual to support and execute elections for our First Nation clients across Canada. Experience as an electoral officer is a benefit but not a must.

This position requires evening and weekend travel (from time to time) to First Nation reserves and communities facilitating meetings, creating documentation, managing polling locations, documenting activities, following precise rules and regulatory processes, and the ability to lead and work with groups of people.

Our ideal candidate will be Victoria-based and must demonstrate excellence in communication skills (both oral and written), superior computer skills, proven ability to use various applications (MS Office Suite, ADOBE, and Slack), strong ability to work with a team but especially self-directed work in challenging environments, and a demonstrated problem-solving and solution-focussed skills.

Our ideal candidate will deliver a professional representation to customers and uphold the ideals and standards of our company. We are a small team focused on building a quality product and support service to that product. The successful candidate will constantly strive to meet our company business objectives and exceed customer expectations.

General Responsibilities: • facilitating meetings related to First Nations elections • manage polling stations • travelling to and from First Nations reserves/communities • upholding professionalism at all times • answering questions about our technology • following specific guidelines for elections • assisting in election preparation at our office

The ideal candidate will have: • strong verbal and written communication skills • experience working with customers, customer service, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction • experience working competently and comfortably with smart technology (computers, tablets, and phones), along with a general understanding of cloud-based technologies, web-based technologies, the internet and social media • the ability to follow details and work independently • experience in project management • a positive attitude and professional nature • dedication to personal growth • ability to travel evenings and weekends • attention to detail

Preference will be given to First Nations individuals and/or people who have experience working with First Nations.

Requirements: • Valid BC Drivers License • Bondable • Undergraduate degree minimum

Employment Terms: Full-time position. Wage commensurate with experience.
