EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY OneFeather is the leading end-to-end elections, referendums and ratifications vote management service provider to First Nations throughout Canada. We are building and deploying new innovative technologies designed specifically for First Nations including registrar management, community engagement, electronic voting and other exciting fintech solutions – including for the first time an online Status Card renewal application. We presently work with over 140 First Nations across the country (https://onefeather.ca).

The Opportunity – Support and Communications Specialists (Multiple Positions)

We are presently searching for key team members to assist with our client care and voting event management services. The ideal candidate will have a passion which aligns with our core values and purpose, enjoys working with First Nations across the country and who is goal and achievement oriented. They will also have technical proficiency navigating computers and Microsoft applications, be very comfortable using web-based applications and software, along with a healthy acumen in social media communications.

The Support and Communications Specialist ensures active support of client and member care through a coordinated effort with the designated electoral officer, including answering phone calls, emails, preparing documentation, managing incoming/outgoing mail, assisting with voting event logistics and activities which may be necessary to conduct a successful client engagement.

The successful applicant will share our values and purpose – to serve indigenous communities and redefine the indigenous experience through innovation and tradition.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and skills - Excellent time management skills - able to meet tight deadlines. - Demonstrated willingness to work hard and achieve the highest quality results. - Demonstrated experience working with First Nation people. - Enjoys a fast-paced, fluid and client orientated environment. - Strong relationship building and communication skills. - Highly organized with proven attention to detail. - Proficient PC skills including with MS Office and Excel. - Enjoys occasional travel and working in First Nation communities.

Preference will be given to well qualified persons of aboriginal descent.

Wages will be commensurate with skills, education and experience.
